so called friends

In class today we were arguing what a friend was.
I'm surprised that people say there friends when they change to be friends with them
call me old fashioned but i believe in the thing don't change to be your friend.

one of the girls in class said that she doesn't know what a true friend is.....
I think that's sad because that means her group is not so tight after all. she may think that there friends for life but if they don't feel like true friends well then the might not be. You cant explain what a true friend is but one you get one or are lucky and get more well then you know what there are.
I will try and explain one:

• someone you can have fights with but forgive each other quickly
• someone who is there to give you a hug when needed
• someone you love like a sister
• someone who is pretty much your sister
• someone you can stay in contact with if they move away and make an effort to see them
• and someone you can rely to tell your deepest secrets too

There i tried if you don't think its right make a comment.

This girl in my class she also said something else
What if your friends with someone and then you change and don't be friends with them anymore why cant they still be your friend...or something like that?

I think it's becuase when you change you usually change to who you really are or if you dont then you should probably change to someone you are.
And i think thats were you get your true friends.
